About Adrian
 

Adrian Maldonado was born in June of 1996 and grew up in Hudson Valley New York. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a focus in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design at Appalachian State University. In his time at ASU, he focused his time researching methods of incorporating digital fabrication with traditional processes to create complex immersive objects that fuel his narratives.

Currently he resides in Phoenixville PA where he is a full time tattoo artist at Ravensgate. Maldonado is a multimedia artist that focuses on body adornment through tattoos, jewelry, and interactive sculptures. His interests in fantasy and storytelling is the driving force in his work and informs his interest in narrative forms and body art. His work has been featured in the national juried exhibition, Forge Form Fabricate, hosted by the Southern Illinois Metalsmith Society and he just had his first solo exhibition titled “Reforged". Maldonado’s plan is to continue the development of his tattoo skills and open up a studio to continue his professional research in metalsmithing techniques and conceptual work.
